Research Area
    Intelligent sensing is different from traditional sensing technology, according to the following three basic characteristics: 1. In the course of sensing it forms the knowledge accumulation of the perceived object and certain reasoning rules; 2. Intelligent sensing is of adaptive sensing ability which changes with the environment and adjusts accordingly; 3. In active sensing system, intelligent sensing has the structure and ability of information feedback and it can affect the system transmitting based on the results of information processing. Of course, the modern large-scale “sensing system” of information not only includes acquiring information, but also contains comprehensive signal processing as well as necessary communication and control, so the capacity improvement of the sensing system involves the development of various disciplines and links, such as electromagnetic theory, devices, circuit, signal processing, computing platform, human-computer factors, system architecture and so on. Meanwhile the expansion in military and national economic demand for sensing technology and system stimulates and drives the progress of these disciplines.(more)
